MES.Pack
Roadmap and development status
See the overview for available features. Prepared data structures and planned extensions are listed separately here.
Material composition
Weight shares of multiple materials can be entered per product. Composition and weight are captured during packing; unspecified subtypes such as plastic remain valid.
Country information and providers
Data structures exist for dated reporting obligations, sources, documents, representatives and licensing organisations. An initial EU-27 research dataset with sources has been imported internally. Editorial verification, approval and the public Country Guide will follow.
Import order lists
CSV import with preview, destination validation, optional pick list and duplicate protection is available. Exports are initially adapted to a shared CSV template. Saved shop profiles, Excel import, direct APIs and status feedback will follow.
Pack, pause and resume
An initial workflow per order is available: record quantities with their weight at the time, void entries, resume and complete. Multiple packages and extended shipping workflows will follow.
Multiple packing stations
Company addresses, locations and multiple named packing stations can be managed. Workstation selection and assigning jobs and photos to stations with traceable handovers are planned.
Shipping carriers and integrations
Own carriers can be recorded with contacts, customer numbers and interface information. Provider invitations, a portal for maintaining their data and automatic shipping integrations are planned as later steps.
Customer shipment view and tracking
A personal link without sign-in is planned so recipients can view the shared status of their shipment and carrier tracking. The first stage is a link to carrier tracking, followed by status updates via API or webhook. Photos are shown only when explicitly shared. Not yet available.
Photo documentation
Photo upload with preview, description, original preservation, checksum and ZIP export is available. Photos added after completion are marked as addenda. PDF reports, package assignment and verification on a physical Android tablet will follow.
Country-specific reports
A consumption report by completion period (UTC), country and captured material kind is available. Missing historical compositions appear as unassigned. Country-specific licensing returns and exports will follow.
Stock management and inventory counts
Available: goods receipts with new or previously used supplier names, stock balances, automatic consumption on packing completion, and single-material stocktakes with recorded adjustments. Locations are currently notes. Catalogue receipts, separate location balances and multi-item stocktakes are planned.
Manufacturer catalogue and suppliers
A supplier and manufacturer portal is planned: providers enter products or upload product data, images and data sheets. Following review and approval, customers can copy products into their own material catalogue. Supplier offers and order links simplify replenishment. Changes are offered as updates while customer-specific data is preserved.
Reorder packaging supplies
Potential extensions include minimum stock levels, reorder suggestions and supplier connections. No purchasing function or supplier integration is currently available.
Free base and add-ons
A free base is planned for order material documentation and country reports. Convenience features, templates, catalogues and photo/video documentation will be offered as optional modules. Administrative allocations are prepared; pricing, purchasing and feature enforcement will follow. Country reports and video remain planned.
Integrations and marketplaces
Further ERP and shop integrations are planned; eBay is a potential future connection. The existing administrative MES.Work synchronisation is not an automatic order integration.
Expand the SaaS offering
Tenant support is already available. Self-registration, subscriptions, plans and billing are part of the future hosted offering.
Priorities and scope may change. No release dates are currently committed. Prepared data structures do not yet imply a usable interface.
